This layer shows the locations of pedestrian crossings across Western Australia. A pedestrian crossing or crosswalk is a designated point on a road at which some means are employed to assist pedestrians wishing to cross. Usually a transverse strip marked on the carriageway together with associated signs & devices &/or traffic signals at which a pedestrian crossing the carriageway has right-of-way over vehicular traffic under appropriate circumstances.
