Water chemistry data from Water Monitoring Strategy in the Surat Cumulative Management Area (CMA)

Created 05/05/2025

Updated 05/05/2025

Groundwater chemistry data are compiled and maintained by OGIA based on the monitoring and baseline data from CSG tenure holders in accordance with obligations established in the Surat CMA Underground Water Impact Report (UWIR) under the Water Monitoring Strategy (WMS), as well as Bore Assessment and Baseline Assessment (BABL). WMS data are provided for a monitoring network of groundwater bores in the Surat cumulative management area (CMA). Following the six monthly submission of the data from tenure holders, OGIA undertakes quality control and assurance checks on the dataset. This export of data includes edits or updates to the dataset at the time of publication. This is undertaken every six months. Baseline assessment data is collected by resource tenure holders to establish benchmark data prior to the bore experiencing any impact from the resource tenure holder exercising their underground water rights. Bore assessment data are provided for bores where impact has been predicted by OGIA and the bore has been listed as being in an immediately affected aquifer, or where direction notice has been issued by the chief executive. The datum used is GDA94.
