The former Department for Manufacturing, Innovation, Trade, Resources and Energy (DMITRE), now known as the Department of State Development (DSD), engaged the ABS to provide data on particular industry sectors (Manufacturing, Knowledge Intensive Services and Services to the Mining and Energy sectors). The ABS negotiated a Memorandum of Understanding with WorkCoverSA to gain access to their unit record collection, which has geospatial, industry and remuneration information for the majority of businesses in South Australia. This is an experimental dataset and there are some cautions around how it should be used and interpreted.
