| Description | The City of Yarra is an inner metropolitan municipality adjacent to Melbourne’s Central Business District, which is home to a diverse community of about 94,000 people. Yarra covers an area of 19.5 square kilometres consisting of the suburbs of Abbotsford, Burnley, Clifton Hill, Collingwood, Cremorne, Fitzroy, North Carlton, North Fitzroy, Princes Hill and Richmond. Sections of Alphington and Fairfield between Heidelberg Road and the Yarra River also form part of Yarra. Yarra contains an array of beautiful natural assets including water ways, parklands and public spaces, all of which provide a strong contrast to the otherwise highly developed urban fabric of the City. |
