Maps of spatial domains for growth calibrations.

This method can be used by landholders establishing permanent (non-harvest) forest on their land through planting tree species local to their area, or mallee trees.

This method allows use of specific FullCAM growth calibrations that are only valid in defined spatial areas. For each model location (latitude and longitude) entered into FullCAM only eligible growth calibrations are made available.

To allow proponents to assess CEAs for eligibility, the maps are available in GIS format through this data. The data contains five spatial regions applicable to the Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) (Reforestation by Environmental or Mallee Plantings (FullCAM)) Methodology Determination 2014.

The five regions are:

  1. Mixed species tropical

  2. Mixed species temperate

  3. Mallee - Eucalyptus kochii

  4. Mallee - Eucalyptus loxophleba

  5. Mallee - Eucalyptus polybractea

The spatial domains were defined using bioclimatic analysis and prediction to extrapolate the climatic conditions from the measurement sites to other similar locations, using the the bioclimatic analysis and prediction model ANUCLIM.
