Soils - Auburn River irrigation suitability study - ARD
This dataset is a soils survey conducted near the Auburn and Burnett rivers. Soils were mapped at 1:50 000 and assessed for potential irrigation of a range of crops. The study area covered 5 kilometres either side of the Burnett and Auburn Rivers from Mundubbera to a possible dam site approximately 18km upstream from where the Auburn River meets the Burnett River. The study area consists of 28 712 ha. Areas of land suitable for irrigation development were identified and the management needs of these areas reported on.
