This dataset describes the soils of Clifton Shire, on the Darling Downs in South East Queensland. The study area covers parts of the Ellangowan, Clifton, and Pilton (9242-3, 9242-2, 9342-3) 1:50,000 mapsheets. Approximately 87,000 hectares were mapped at 1:100,000 scale during 1997-2000. The free survey method was used and 39 soil types were identified.No report accompanies this dataset.
