Soils - soils of the Emerald irrigation area...
This dataset is a soils map of the right bank section of the Emerald irrigation area, on the Nogoa River in Central Queensland. The study area covers parts of the Emerald and Capella (8550, 8551) 1:100,000 map sheets. Approximately 15,000 hectares of land were mapped at 1:25,000 scale during the years 1972-1979. Sites were assessed using the grid survey method, and 109 soil profile classes were identified.
