This dataset is a soils map of the Northcote section of the Burdekin River Irrigation Area (BRIA), part of a series of high intensity surveys (scale 1:25 000) of this area. The primary purpose of these surveys was to provide land resource and land suitability information to assist with land subdivision and design of irrigation farms. The Northcote Section comprises 7,820ha on the Ayr side or left bank of the Burdekin River.
