This dataset is a 1:100 000 soils survey carried out on approximately 80 000 ha between the Burdekin and Haughton rivers in north Queensland. A 3740 ha reference area, the Burdekin Rural Education Centre, was also surveyed at 1:25 000 scale. The Lower Burdekin Valley has been divided into three major areas for 1:100 000 soil surveys: - Right Bank (Burdekin River to Elliot River) - Land Resources Survey of the Burdekin Right Bank (BRB) - Left Bank (Burdekin River to Haughton River) - which is this survey. - Southern Area - Survey of the Soils of the Lower Burdekin Valley, North Queensland (BSA)
