This dataset is a soil map of the Toowoomba area, South East Queensland. The study area covers the northern half of the Toowoomba (9242) 1:100,000 map sheet. Approximately 16,200 hectares of land were mapped bythe CSIRO at a scale of 1:100,000 during the early 1950's. Sites were assessed using the free survey method and 28 soil associations were identified.
